Principal's Welcome

Welcome to St Patrick's College

As an authentic and liberating Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition, our community has been educating and inspiring young men from Years 5 through to 12, for over 70 years. As a place of faith, learning and humility, our College Vision and Mission, further reinforces our community’s dedication to remaining courageous and inclusive in all that we do, so every young man feels known, heard, valued and empowered to challenge themselves in their learning, growth and development.

Our College remains committed to achieving academic excellence, with a wide range of subjects and pathways on offer, all designed and delivered by expert teachers who understand the importance of fostering agency, curiosity, wonder, determination and perseverance. Our College approach encompasses contemporary, research-based, data-informed pastoral and formation programs, providing an environment where our students are inspired and empowered by positive role models to form right relationships and develop strong connections with others, enabling them to more confidently navigate and thrive as a young man in an increasingly complex and disconnected world.

It is not only our unique location on the beautiful shores of Moreton Bay that sets us apart, but also a strong sense of belonging and community. Our purpose-driven, kind-hearted, courageous young men are passionate about their College and embody our motto “Certa Bonum Certamen” (Fight the Good Fight). This motto serves as a strong and constant reminder that the person and story of Jesus Christ is our foundation, seen through the lens of Blessed Edmund Rice, called to make a more just and better world for all. This calling is lived out daily in our community through a strong focus on social justice and it is our hope that graduates of St Patrick’s College will go out into the world as confident and compassionate ‘Men of Action’, engaged and empowered to ‘Fight the Good Fight’ in whatever path they choose.

As a proud member of the Associated Independent Colleges (AIC) Sport program, our students have access to a wide range of opportunities to discover and develop their talents, enhance their understanding of teamwork and commitment, and support a healthier lifestyle, with direct and positive impacts on their physical and mental wellbeing. We also have an extraordinary and extensive instrumental music, performing and visual arts programs on offer, along with STEM activities, debating and public speaking competitions just to name a few.

An excellent educational experience is arguably the most important investment you will ever make for your son’s future. Places are limited, so please enjoy exploring our website and contact our Enrolments Office via enrolments@stpatricks.qld.edu.au or (07) 3631 9000, to secure your son’s place at our College.
